Born into a family of musicians in Vienna, he studied in Vienna and Paris. Having won prizes at international competitions, he earned a strong reputation as an organist at an early age and worked with conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Lorin Maazel, Wolfgang Sawallisch, Riccardo Muti and many others."

Martin Haselböck’s engagements have taken him to North America, Asia and Australia, where he has conducted, amongst others, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the symphony orchestras of Pittsburgh, Washington, San Francisco, Detroit, Toronto and Vancouver, the Los Angeles and Saint Paul Chamber Orchestras, as well as the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. The Vienna Academy’s concert series has been running at the Vienna Musikverein for thirty years.

He has been honoured with the German Record Prize, the Diapason d’Or and the Hungarian Liszt Prize, and his discography also includes the highly acclaimed recent recording of Franz Liszt’s complete works for organ, and much more.
